Hello all! Just found this forum and decided to join up. Been a knife and gun nut for probably 40+ of my 65 years. I also have been collecting knives for most of that time. Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing knife info and knife stories.

Man I just love that stubby blade with the big belly. Shaped kinda like me.

I love the look of that shuffle. I have only seen pics over the last fee days and was thinking about getting one myself. What do you love about it?

I really like the look of the back spacer, though I don't drink so I don't need a bottle opener.
But the stonewash with the blue really does it for me.
These pictures are pretty close to what the true color is in person.

Not to get too off-topic... But I just searched around online for directions.

Basically you cut rectangles of cloth and layer them onto each-other while coating them with resin or epoxy.

I got cheap ($15) fiberglass resin for my first attempts. Epoxy is a bit too expensive for me to experiment with, but I hear you get better results (harder) with it.
I've been debating on trying it myself...
My Izula came with handles... but I've seen people get good results doing it themselves.

Nice! What did you have to do to convert it?

Any treatment to the walnut? I'm digging the color.
Thanks. I just had to drill a hole in the blade (3/64) and put a coil spring in. No treatment on the walnut yet. I ave some rams horn that I will ultimately use but this was a first for me so I didn't want to ruin my only piece of rams horn.

I think I will have to get one of those IZULAs. I've been making some home-grown 'micarta' with denim that would be fun to attach to it.
I want to see that pic when you get it done. How did you make the micarta? Can you point me to some good sources for learning?
