Title: Making folders
Post by: scottydawg on February 16, 2017, 04:00:11 am
Anybody ever built folders? I am thinking of building folders, but am wondering where's the best place to get started? I did a kit knife to see how the parts interact and to get experience with building handles, but beyond that, I am not sure. Liner lock, button lock, axis lock, lock back, friction??? Or should I just do fixed blades for a while until I get confident?

Also, can this be done on a budget or will I have to spend loads on materials?

From what I have seen people make, friction folders (https://www.google.com/search?q=friction+folder&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjz7bWmpJXSAhVM3mMKHT70BLcQ_AUICSgC&biw=1659&bih=878) seem to be the most practical to put together. A very classic style.
