Sharper on one side
« on: February 16, 2017, 04:12:18 am »
Let me start by saying that I am a newbie. Now that being established, As I sharpened, I noticed that one side felt sharper even though I was sharpening both sides of the knife. Riddle me this... If it feels sharper from the left, does that mean I should actually work the right side of the blade to even it out or visa versa?

Do you mean one side has a steeper bevel to it? I would just try to keep them even. And if it cuts the way you need, leave it alone until it needs sharpened again. Otherwise you might remove too much metal too soon. But I am no expert.
